The Real Estate Internship offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a Fortune 150 company while continuing their education. Interns work on projects similar to those assigned to entry-level analysts, including data analysis, customer support, and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Opportunities are available in Contracts, Facilities, and Field Operations, with placement based on education, skills, and interests.
The Real Estate team within the Finance Department is seeking students enrolled in a degree program who are interested in working year-round. Interns are expected to work 15-25 hours per week during the school year and full-time during the summer. Participants will have the opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects, develop an understanding of real estate operations, and manage assignments from start to finish. Knowledge of basic real estate concepts and processes is preferred.
The estimated wage for this position is between $21-$25 per hour. Final rate of pay will be based on several factors including year of study, qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
Accountabilities
- Learn and perform core department business group work tasks, processes, and customer services
- Support key operation functions including contract review, analyze real estate data, and report preparation
- Respond to internal an external customer inquiries
- Offer operational support for department business group managers
- Develop and execute project action plans and perform team assignments
- Build and strengthen a network of professional contacts within departments and across the company
- Assist with project management for various company initiatives and complete administrative tasks and special projects
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications - Required
- Must be a full-time student
- College credits equivalent to one year toward an undergraduate degree in Real Estate, Business, Computer Science, Economics or other business-related degrees
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills
- Basic organization, prioritization and time/project management skills
- Proficient Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) skills
Qualifications - Preferred
- GPA of 3.0 or higher
- College credits towards an undergraduate degree related to Real Estate
- Intermediate computer skills and able to learn UP's Accounting systems and databases to successfully accomplish desired project results
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills including a demonstrated ability to analyze real estate and legal issues
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop good working relationships
Physical and Mental Job Requirements
- This position requires extended periods of sitting and extended hours in front of computer screens
- Maintains concentration, focuses on tasks and can make timely decisions
Work Conditions
- Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
